EPISODE 1
LUMINANCE LAYERING
Welcome to episode one of the Hotline How-To!
This week's question comes from Philosphy Frog. If you have a question, leave it in the comments or send an email at www.youme.academy. If selected I will do a show answering it!
This week's question: Okay so lets say we're working with the standard c4d materials, in the "luminance tab you can add a "texture" image, in addition to this you can also change the type to "layer" allowing us to add several illuminating effects on top of each other and blend them together using layer modes. When using the redshift convert tool this material just stops working, it's not able to convert this in any way so I'm wondering if there's a way to achieve a similar effect? This is for example useful for when you want to quickly add windows to a scene without having to manually sculpt and apply the material on individual polygons.
